not your average yoga studio

Yogis do humanity a profound service when they share the gift of yoga. It’s no wonder we find yoga’s footprint drawn into other bodywork spaces so often. Believers Yoga flips that on its head, with yoga as our premium craft, while also exploring how other movement forms compliment and strengthen our yoga practices.

it’s in the way you move

The quality of movement matters. We’re not moving just to move — we’re not hamsters! We’re moving to get somewhere.

Our philosophy is that, with good form, we can establish the foundations necessary for optimized human expression.

You’ll see this in our value-packed cueing, conscious feedback, and intentional design. Our classes work well together to call you higher with each move you make.

awareness

learning to listen to our bodies, understanding its needs, connecting mind to body, exploring what we believe.

balance

progress

finding equilibrium and flow, maximizing holistic function, moving with intention, creating balance in our bodies.

stepping into our God-given potential, taking up more space in the world, learning to dance with our limitations.

seasons

Our live classes operate in seasons, with two-week breaks carved out in-between for rest.

This time of rest gives both teachers and students space to reflect and reset with the changing rhythms of nature. Maybe even set out for a new adventure!

yoga class types

Believers Blend

  • 55 minutes.

The Believers’ Blend is our signature yoga flow. It draws on multiple yoga styles to craft a balanced daily flow, intended to both relax and stimulate. It is a great way for beginners (who usually stick with slow flows and gentle yoga) to dip their toe into the beneficial challenge of power yoga, while athletic yogis can get a taste of more calming movement without fully sacrificing their power flow. It is also perfect for the yogi who simply loves the practice as a whole and wants to experience a myriad of styles packed within a single daily practice.

Believers’ Blend feels like a nourishing yet energizing adventure through

    • slow + fast

    • deep + dynamic

    • meditative + strengthening

Slow Flow

  • 55 minutes.

Slow flow yoga classes have a rhythm without the rush. They are mindful and stress-relieving, and they build up subtle warmth in the body with an approachable steadiness. This gradual pace offers time in and in-between poses to perfect alignment and settle in just a little deeper, making the class a great option for beginners.

As the name suggests, we slow down to tune in with the mind-body connection.

Power Flow

  • 55 minutes. Must have some yoga experience.

Power yoga is the detoxifying “workout” of the yoga classes, with an emphasis on standing postures, fundamental for developing into advanced postures. The vinyasa rhythm flows at a pace meant to lift the heart rate, intentionally working to activate the sympathetic nervous system and create more balance by the end.

We work hard sensitively, working with - not against - our personal boundaries, to move into energy, vitality, and freedom. This work can move us toward healing that comes when you honor the individual experience and create an atmosphere conducive to natural expansion and growth.

In power yoga, we face our human limitations of today and press in to find what lives on the other side of fear.

Gentle Yoga

  • 55 minutes.

Gentle yoga is umbrella term for yoga styles which have a super slow pace and short number of long holding asanas. These classes can be yin yoga, restorative yoga, or some variation of both.

The comfortable pace in our gentle yoga classes allows you to discover what feels right and listen to your body. Softer in nature, classes are non-strengthening, minimal, and offer a heavy emphasis on deep opening + release. The focus on breath-work, long holds, and quiet contemplation has a lovely way of balancing out the central nervous system.

Particularly beneficial for individuals who are dealing with injuries, discomfort, limited mobility, or other health problems.

Shape Sculpt

  • 30 minutes. All levels.

Shape Sculpt classes offer mindful muscle strengthening + lengthening challenges. The workouts build heat + heart rate thoughtfully through the focused movement + engagement of muscles. We draw from the training classics, as well as creative exercises you might find in yoga sculpt, mat pilates, and barre classes.

Barefoot is okay (even encouraged, to build strength in the feet). Free weights and resistance bands are good to have, but not necessary.

Jump + Sculpt

  • 45 minutes. All levels.

In Jump + Sculpt, the first Jump half is high-energy fun! We will stay steady moving with classic exercises, low-impact plyometrics, and creative cross training approaches. Together, we will connect with our heart beats and stimulate the relationship between oxygen + blood flow.

The second Sculpt half will offer mindful muscle strengthening + lengthening challenges, stimulating the muscle-mind connection. This half of the workout is slowed down + focused, drawing from the training classics as well as creative exercises you might find in yoga sculpt, mat pilates + barre classes.

Barefoot is okay (even encouraged, to build strength in the feet). Free weights and resistance bands are good to have, but not necessary.

integrative design

Class types are designed to synergistically work well with the others, while still maintaining their own daily standalone value.
